Superintendent’s Message
Dear Family and Friends,
As the snow blankets our beautiful community, we find ourselves in the heart of a season filled with joy, togetherness, and celebration. This December, our schools have been alive with the sound of music and the spirit of connection, and I want to take a moment to reflect on these wonderful moments with you.
Our three elementary schools have truly outdone themselves with their winter concerts this year. From cheerful carols to creative performances, each school brought their own unique charm to the stage, showcasing the talent and enthusiasm of our students. Thank you to the teachers, educational assistants, many other CUPE staff, and families who supported these magical events—it’s a delight to see our youngest learners share their gifts with our community.
Meanwhile, at Revelstoke Secondary School, the concert band delivered a spectacular performance that filled the room with melody and pride. Adding to the magic of the evening, the Community Band joined the Secondary Concert Band for a few numbers, creating a powerful and moving collaboration that highlighted the bond between generations of musicians in Revelstoke.
In addition, the Community and Children’s choirs brought even more holiday cheer with their Everything Holly concert. The blend of voices, combined with the beautiful violin accompaniment, added a special touch that made the evening truly unforgettable. These moments are a testament to the strength of our community and the shared love of music that ties us all together.
As we head into the winter break, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your continued partnership in making our district a vibrant and caring place for learning and growth.
Wishing you and your loved ones a restful, joyous holiday season filled with laughter, love, and maybe even a few snowball fights! I look forward to seeing everyone back in the new year, ready for the adventures and opportunities that 2025 will bring.
Warm winter wishes from the Superintendent.
